We will contact you if a result needs action. If you do not hear from us, you do not usually need to ring.
How results reach you
- NHS App: blood test results are usually available here once a clinician has reviewed them.
- Text message: we text you if something needs doing.
- Phone call: for anything that needs discussing.
How long it takes

A clinician reviews every result before it reaches you. That can add a day.
"No action needed"
This means the result is normal, or the change is small and does not need treatment. We do not routinely ring people with normal results.
If you have not heard
Wait until the times above have passed, then check the NHS App. If it is still not there, ring us on 01942 366947 after 10am, when the phone is quieter.
